Scared to fail fundamentals for the second time!

I am in my first year (2nd semester) of nursing school and I had failed fundamentals the first time around. My schools policy is that they allow you to only repeat 1 nursing course before you get kicked out of the program. My final is this upcoming monday (which i need an 85 to pass the class) and ive been studying and taking practice exams like a nut job. but for some reason i just dont feel confident. i know my material like the back of my hand but when it comes to taking the test i seem like i dont know anything i just dont know what to do anymore. i really dont want to fail out of this program. this class has gotten the best of me

Do you guys use ATI? if you do they have great tutorials on how to answer nursing school questions. Its called "nurse logic 2.0" It might really help you :)

If not then I highly recommend getting a fundamentals nclex book and reading the rationales and the tips they give you for answering questions. Good Luck! I have my fundies and pharm finals on monday and tuesday...eeek!

Totally agree with you SlinkyHeadCNA!

NurseLogic is wonderful! I suggest that if your school doesn't use ATI to get an NCLEX style book to practice test questions.

Best of luck on your exams!

This may sound simple minded but try to shake off that negativity. That can really weigh heavily on you as you take your exam. You can study until your brains fry but if you are convinced you're going to do horrible, then it really is going to end badly in most cases. Take a deep breath, relax, and tell yourself what it is you need to do. And shoot for the 90s, not just that 85!

Good luck!!
