SBVC spring 2020

Hello all,

I'm surprised this thread hasn’t been posted yet! This thread is meant to connect with students who have applied to SBVC. The application period ended about a week ago now. Who is waiting on a reply??

Not unfortunate. You’re competing with significantly less people for the bridge. Whether you got between 83 and 91% on the HESI you’re getting the same amount of points towards your application. The point cut off for the bridge programs tends to be lower than the ADN applicant pool. So I’ve heard.

Yes but they only take 10 applicants for the bridge program.. and people rarely drop. Cuz I was on the alternate list last semester and I was the second person and I didn’t get in ??‍♀️ And you can only take the HESI twice right?? Or can you take it multiple times?

Hopefully we all get the response we want! ❤️?

Hopefully.. I just need to get in!! Hopefully we all get in!!

I’m going in with 78 points now but then again there were a lot of people taking the hesi and everyone did really well. Just waiting to hear back from valley and RCC, nothing left to do.

RCC has a good program as well! Hopefully we all get in! This waiting game is a killer!

Yeah it’s taking a while. Even just to get invited to the hesi. At least we’ll know for sure by next Friday for valley.

RCC requires the TEAS version 6. I’ve applied there too and have not heard back from them yet. They said we’d know this week but looking back to other Spring entries they were all notified in December.

That’s a long time.. last semester SBVC took over a week to send emails

Well since orientation is 11/18 I think they’ll try to send them out by today or tomorrow since Monday is a holiday. Then they need to give a time frame to respond to the application before orientation.

They didn’t ask a response for orientation last time.. you just show up but they have a roster and you still have to check in like the HESI to make sure you’re there.. or else they will give your spot to the next applicant that’s probably on the alternate.. it might be different this time tho

Who else is doing the LVN-RN bridge? Those scores are great.. the biology and A& P got me good )); unfortunately I can only be placed on the LVN-RN bridge.. ));

I’m doing the LVN-RN program, I was really bummed out with my score I got a 80% ? I studied like crazy for CHEMISTRY because I thought we were going to get tested and we didn’t ughh. I should have studied the freaking ratios and fractions instead lol. Best of luck!

It’s my first time applying idk how they usually do it but I’m hoping it’s either today or tomorrow & aww you should’ve checked the website it had the subjects listed

We will get in!!!! I’m crossing my fingers.. I Researched online what subjects are needed to be studied.. but I only studied for a day ? I RSVP’ed on the last day and they didn’t confirm that I will be taking the HESI till Monday afternoon. Robyn said they were fixing her computer.. do you know who else are doing the Bridge program?? Like how many are there?? ? I’m worried that half of the people that took the HESI and they only take 10 applicants ??‍♀️
