Just a massive, heartfelt, and genuine thank you to all of you! I have been working my program of recovery for what will be 11 years this June. I recently completed a 3 year probation with the BON and although my RN license is active, the past probation will always be attached to it. I have been looking for a new RN job since December (I have been working as a school nurse since 2013 and was told by admin that this would be my last year there because I do not have a BSN). Last Friday I got a call from one of the many places I've sent my resume to wanting to set up a phone interview (this Wednesday...keeping my fingers crossed). I am so fearful that because of the permanent "black mark" on my license no one will want to hire me.
Your stories of experience, strength, and hope have helped me rally and stop this stinkin thinking.
I am grateful to you all! â¤

11 years! That's so inspiring..
The BON hasn't reviewed my case yet.. I'm working in dialysis and really like it. My RN license is active right now.
How does probation work? Im praying my license are only placed on probation/even restriction is fine since I don't work around narcotics anyway.

I am glad to hear that you are doing well, congratulations on your journey so far. I am sorry that you cannot keep your school job, I don't think that is fair but that's a whole other article. I wish you well on the new job search and hope that you find a job even better. Best wishes!!
