SAUNDERS REVIEW

Published

I'm a foreign graduate student from the Philippines and currently waiting for my cgfns to be verified. I'm using SAUNDERS COMPREHENSIVE REVIEW 3RD EDITION. I just wanted to ask those who took the exam and passed if you guys recommend the 3rd edition or the 4th edition is better? PLEASE HELP ME. MY ANXIETY LEVEL IS RAPIDLY INCREASING AND I CANNOT FOCUS WELL. PLUS, I HAVE NO IDEA ON WHERE TO GO FOR THE REVIEW CENTER. :((

hi, im also from the Philippines, i tried Kaplan review course, it was great, it their strategies that makes them the best selling.. you will have 8 meeting of classes depending on which will you choose, the online or live classroom. and many more, you can check out their website for more info.

their is also the Hurst Review course which is online, as what ive heard it's an interactive review, it's best when you lack knowledge on the content... here's their website

but many who took NCLEX had only self review and actually passed, but it's your own discretion..

Saunders is very helpful on the content, its very detailed book, it already has the 5th edition, if you can't afford a new one, you can borrow it on you local library, or rent it from barnes and nobles...

Lacharity is helpful for Prioritization, Delegation, and Assignment...

exam cram has also positive review, its a concise presentation of the content...

and also here on allnurses you can browse through the thread the sticky post entitled RANDOM FACT THROWING..

goodluck and God bless..

anyways, are you already here in the US? and what State Board are you applying to?

Saunders now has the fifth edition out. It would be the best if you can get a copy of it.

@caliotter3 : Is there any difference with the 3rd, 4th and 5th edition?

@chillceb : I can't decide on which book to follow or which review center to apply to. :( have you taken the NCLEX yet?

Yes, I'm already here in the US. I just got back last July and just waiting for my ATT. I applied for the state board here in NY.

Hey jaedlove, I am also from the Philippines. With or without review center, I think La Charity would be of great help to you as Chillceb has said it is great for Delegation and Prioritization.

Goodluck! :)

l suggest you try the saunders fifth edition.you will love it, actually there is a lot of difference between the current and the old editions. also get the Lacharity prioritization and delegation book and lm sure u will be fine. Good Luck
