To the best of my knowledge, it starts at around $24 for new grads, and has 5 steps to max at $30. But, they're in contract negotiations right now and want parity with Alberta. So far, not good. There's plenty of strike talk.

I'm here now. Where are you heading to?

I'm in Regina, but went to school in Saskatoon. If there are any questions I can answer for you, just PM me. :)

Hi markjrn!

I'm RN from Israel and plan to work in Canada. I am looking for appropriate place - good clime, good people, good job... I don't mean to be rich, only respectes life. Do you mean Saskatchewan is the place? Will I can to go to exam without BSn? Will I can find good job in Saskatchewan?

I wish I could recommend SK, but I can't - at least not where I am. Other cities in the province may be different.

But if you want a good climate, I would look at BC, although the cost of living is high.

I'm sorry I can't be of more help. I recently moved back to Canada myself, and don't know how things are everywhere.

Good luck!

This thread has been hijacked a little I think, and could more properly belong in the International Forum since so many of the questions have shifted to immigration and licensure issues. But as moderator I'm going to leave it here for now. Please be reminded that this forum is for Canadian nurses to discuss issues unique to nurses working in Canada.

Now, for anyone who is curious, I've just put a sticky at the top of the forum home page that will take you to a comparison of wages and benefits for unionized registered nurses across Canada. The question of how much a nurse makes in Saskatchewan at every rung on the ladder is clearly indicated. Have a look!

well congratulations, do you have the srna forms needed for registration? what have you started?
