San Jac Fall 2010

Hey everyone! Just thought I would start a thread for all San Jac fall hopefuls. Good luck to everyone. Who all is applying? Did you go to the info session? What are your GPAs, Act, SAT etc.....:yeah:

Hi there. I applied to UT-houston and unfortunately did not get accepted. I'm very happy to see San Jac has such a late deadline. I've taken all 10 co-req's to have a gpa of 3.65. I'm currently retaking eng 1301 to go from a B to an A. That will give me a 4.0 for the prereq

cont..

gpa. I really hope that will get me in. I'm so paranoid about getting in because 8 years ago I was in an LVN program and was unsuccessful. I believe this is why I did not get accepted to UT. Have you gone to an information session or heard how many they anticipate will apply? Any info or tips would be great! I just decided today I was going to apply when I saw they offer a hybrid program!

I did go to the info session, although I forgot to ask how many will apply. There weren't many people there!! They didn't give a whole lot of information I didn't already know such as gpa requirements, sat/act etc.... She just kept emphasizing that you could not apply if you have made a D or below in a science even if it is retaken.

Does San Jac offer the ACT test? I've never taken it before and just bought a workbook. The San Jac website is down right now so I'm trying to figure out where to take this test out and how often it's offered. Did they say what the min. score you need to get in is?

The official minimum is 23 on ACT. I know someone who got in as a last alternate with a 24. They offer testing at san jac in the testing center the next date is for 5/12

The San Jac website is now working, however it doesn't list the ACT dates. I looked on the national act website and it says the next date is April 10 and then June 12th. I tried to find one on 5/12 but can't seem to find it. Are you sure it wasn't 6/12 that you saw because 5/12 is a Wednesday. By all means I hope your right because otherwise I won't be able to take it and I'll have to use my prereq gpa, which is a mere 3.66 : (

I was hoping to catch a 6 wk mini to retake englishm which I made a B in, but I just missed that by a week! I was really banking on getting into UT so now I'm just feeling really behind on getting application ready for San Jac.

The 5/12 test date is for a residual ACT which means the score is only good for san jac. The website doesnt have anything useful but the testing center is Rm 133 in the main building. The number is 2819986150 x2025.

Oh wow. That's so perfect! Thank you for the info. Now time to try and master all the act content in a month! : )
