San Angelo, TX

I received a call from a hospital in San Angelo, TX and was wondering what it was like? What is the area like? The hospital? The name is Community Medical Center.

I love San Angelo. But, my idea of a good place to live is out in the middle of nowhere so keep that in mind. San Angelo is a mid-sized town (less than 100,000 I would guess) that is surrounded mostly by farms and ranches. There is a university (ASU) and an airforce base there. It has shops and restaurants like The Outback, Golden Corral, Target, Walmart, etc. No Barnes and Noble as of the last time I was there. It definitely has that West Texas feel to it; it's dry, hot, and dusty in the summers (which I actually prefer). The people are friendly. I used to go to San Angelo about once every month or two. I liked it. I'm not sure about the hospital or salaries, but the town itself is nice.

I'm trying to figure out where I want to live if I have to relocate. ITs a scary proposition haveing to think about moving somewhere you've never been, just so you can find a decent job.

I thought you'd found a NICU position near your home. Didn't work out?

Apparently they thought I wasn't a good fit. Oh well, so now I have to try again.
