If any of you super Peds nurses ever do community projects or are interested in a great informational pamphlet for your unit please check this out. Karen Peak is a dog trainer, author and Mom who has spent countless hours of her time putting together the Safe Kids Safe Dogs Program.

I have used it in groups at my Ped Psych Hosptial and feel that it is a very valuable program for kids and parents. Dog bites are preventable and there is almost always human error involved so as you all know education is key!
