Safe Kids Safe Dogs Program

If any of you super Peds nurses ever do community projects or are interested in a great informational pamphlet for your unit please check this out. Karen Peak is a dog trainer, author and Mom who has spent countless hours of her time putting together the Safe Kids Safe Dogs Program.

I have used it in groups at my Ped Psych Hosptial and feel that it is a very valuable program for kids and parents. Dog bites are preventable and there is almost always human error involved so as you all know education is key! Feel free to email her, she is very generous with her time and knowledge or pm me if you have any questions.
