Thank you! that's sweet of you to say! are you also applying? do you know what the cut-off was in the previous cycles?

My stats are: 

2 pts (Associate degree)

5 pts (N204/volunteer)

30 pts (GPA) 

20 pts (Coursework) 

3 pts (Life experience) 

2 pts (Language) 

25 pts (TEAS) 

= 87 points

Yes, I believe I have 87 points.

The cutoff 2 semesters ago was 85 and last was 83. I feel like they keep accepting less and less student too because of limited clinical sites. ? 

I just finished my app and should have 85 points. I feel like it wasn't enough but I tried my best. Anyone else feel like everyone quit their jobs during Covid and decided to go to nursing school?? The competition is fierce right now. Good luck everyone!

5 points for work experience

30 points for GPA

20 points for extra coursework

3 points for life experience

2 points for AA degrees

25 points for TEAS 

Hi! Anyone here know how to access mysite for unofficial transcript from another school? I took a class from another school, sent transcript to saddleback college but application is asking to upload unofficial transcript from the other school. The other school won't let me have the access anymore cuz its been 4 semesters that I havent taken class from them. If I call them today, it'll take 5 working days to get back to me. So I'm going to miss the application period for Saddleback. Thanks. Much appreciated.

I have never been able to access transcripts from other schools using MySite. I would suggest reaching out to the academic counseling department, opening the zoom option, and asking if they can send you a copy. Have you spoken to a counselor at Saddleback before? Your best bet is to email them directly and explain your situation as politely as you can and ask them to send you a copy. Good luck!

Hello everyone! 

I was wondering if anyone was actually able to schedule a meeting w/ a nursing counselor and asked about the TEAS scores? On the website and app it says "Must have a passing score of 62% or higher. We take the first passing score within approx. 365 days. If you retested to try to improve your score but did not wait approx. 365 days from 1st attempt, then we cannot accept your newer score. If you did wait approx. 365 days from 1st attempt to retest we will accept the better score." 

However, I took it multiple times and it was not a complete year apart. I had emailed them about it and a project assistant and a project specialist and they both said that they would take a certain score and I would earn the full 25 points, but now I'm kinda worried.

Hello annecaroline2017,

I had something similar - ironically it was with Saddleback/IVC - and didn't know how to get access to Unofficial transcripts and only 2 days left to submit my app to Golden West.

What I did was I 'registered' for that semester as returning student and I had access to MySite and my academic history/unofficial transcripts. I clicked print via Adobe and used that as my digital copy to send to GWC.

Hello everyone,

I'm Kenji and as mentioned earlier, I'm a student at Golden West trying to get into any nursing program that will take me. I applied to Saddleback with:

AA - 2 points

Work/Volunteer - 5

BIO Prereq GPA - 20

Relevant Coursework - 20

Life Experience - 3 (love free points)

TEAS - 25

Total: 75

So I'm most likely not going to make it unless the average is much lower this year and as an alternate. That said, I'm applying to Saddleback, Cypress (26/30), and GWC (82/100), so I'm hoping I get in somewhere.

how to calculate the points?

4.0 science G.P.A, 4.0 overall G.P.A, 3 years of volunteer over 200 hours, work experience, second language Chinese and Spanish, 85.3 percent TEAS.  please help
