Sad...

I had an interview at a clinic for an RN position last week wed 4/25. I thought all went well and asked when they would know what their decision was they stated they would today Monday 4/30. No call here...Feeling pretty down....I felt very good about the interview and when I left I could hear them saying they really liked me...What should I do now? Should I call tomorrow morning? UGH!! So depressed!! I really want a job!!! Thanks for reading, I would really appreciate any suggestions.

Well, called again today...found out I did not get the job....I ask if they didn't mind disclosing why they chose against me and they stated "you were actually a first runner up but we had to go with indian preference" I understand that. Atleast I didn't do anything wrong in the interview and she said they really liked me but they had to go with their reservations preference. So I sent another thank-you letter for their time and consideration and to please keep me in mind for future positions. Thanks again all for your valuable time and encouragement.

I'm sorry you didn't get the job. However, I think you've developed more self-confidence in your resume and interviewing skills as a result of this experience, and that should carry you through your next interview with ease. I bet you get the very next job you apply for! Good luck to you!

Thank-you Viva for your kind words and encouragement. I have decided to start volunteering for the clinic I want to be in and working at a food shelf and getting my ACL's done and CPR. I think that will bode well for me in my next interview!! Fingers crossed. Had a small cry today but gotta pick myself up and carry on!!!:nurse:
