Hey everyone,
I just wanted to see if anyone here is attending Rush's BSN program in January. A few people on this board were accepted earlier this year, so just looking for an update on classmates...maybe we could chat a little! I'm sure January will be here before we know it!

I am still waiting for an answer from Rush. I took the TEAS and had an interview few days back. Can you tell me about your experiance in detail? When did they inform you about acceptance after the interview? What are they actually looking for in students or TEAS percentage?

hey everyone,
i was wondering if anyone who have been accepted to the ABSN program at Rush has changed their minds and applied to the GEM program instead. I looking for some info on that but Rush's admission office has not been very helpful.
thanx,
Kathy

I thought about it...but then I figured I'd be delaying being a nurse by a year, and I decided it wasn't worth that. I'm not sure what the benefits exactly are, or why they're switching the program. I eventually would like to become a NP, so I would rather get started on getting some experience as an RN first. That might make sense...
What are your thoughts? Are you going to be one of my classmates come January??
if you want to become an NP eventually, I would think that the GEM program is better for you. Because once u're done, u'd only have to take several more courses and u'll be done. You wouldn't have to go through the entire master NP program again. This is wat i was told at the informational meeting.
As for me, my goal is CRNA so I am debating which program to take. As far as I know, CRNA program would not be shorter for me even if I already have an MSN.
