WOW, just graduated from RPN program and got licensed at end of 2014. job market sucks as RPN in ontario. Cried a lot, because all the effort in nursing school, and now this ,,..
I find myself in episode of depression because of these market, so I cried a lot, and yes I sent out millions of resumes.also did additional courses such as IV therapy to make me stand out.
I also see how RN new grads has trouble to find jobs as well.
I want to continue to do RN, yet my GPA is 2.981,,ahhh, almost 3.0 gpa.
So, I know bridge is out of questions, cry,
I need advise, should I just go to 4 years BSCN program from year 1, will they accept me?
I want to go to RYERSON or Trent, UBC is competitive as I heard.\
I do have good marks in High school.
I am 24 now, Is it too old to start RN? I do have lots student loans to pay back.

1. Where are you applying? Everywhere? Are you doing whatever it takes? I just graduated RPN and got a job right away by going into the hospital and looking like an idiot knocking on the managers doors and begging them to take my resume and talk to me...you gotta do what you gotta do...there ARE jobs.
2. You can do upgrade courses through college if you want to get into the bridge, or BSCN (it is also very competitive)
3. You are never too old...there were people in their 50s in my class. If you want it bad enough, you will make it work.
Good luck!
Thank you for encouragement. Yes, I applied everywhere, and do you know the college that offer refreshed course.
Well, you would return to the college where you did you PN program (or any college) and re-take the courses that you didn't do well in.
