rounding a decimal on NCLEX

Published

I was wondering the the math questions on the NCLEX will let you know if they want you to round of the nearest 10th or whatever.

This is because I got a question from Kaplan where the answer was I got from the calculator was 0.88. So I rounded it up to 0.9 but they said 0.88 was the answer.

Yes the test will tell you what to round to.

I just took the NCLEX PN on Saturday, and it said round to the nearest tenth. HTH.

Yes computer has instruction to round it to the nearest tenth or whole number. Read the question carefully.:jester:

Had one of each (round to the tenth and whole number). They make it clear. I did Kaplan as well and worried about it on the NCLEX when I was getting questions wrong for the same reason as you. The NCLEX is very clear; they are not out to trick you (like nursing school, lol).
