I travel an hour each way, so obviously I think you should go for it :chuckle

I travel an hour, and although I hate to drive, I wouldn't trade it for the world. It is so worth it. Also, if possible, carpool. It helps a lot (if you get along with your co-carpooler). Good luck.

I commuted in my last year in school. It was alright, about 2 hours each way. I would get tired, but it was not too bad.

I also carpooled, but I'll say, be careful about carpooling. My Carpooling partner was a Mormon. She believed that the commute time should be used to try to convert me. While I think she was a lovely person, I had no interest in becoming a Mormon...and each day for 4 hours, well. It was a bit much!!! Plus, if I wanted to stay to go to the library, or the gym, I was pretty limited, and those days where you are a tad bit late, can upset everyone. Still- with the price of gas...

Depending on what type of nursing career you want, you could find yourself limited by the LPN liscence. I think a commute for the RN would be well worth it.

or you might consider an online lpn-rn program.
