GC is under retrogression and looking currently at several years waiting for a visa. Unable to adjust visa due to the same retrogression so can not file I485 which will allow your wife to work.
H1b is a specialist visa and will need to meet H1b requirements, not all hospitals will go the H1b route and for most it is capped which means file in April for October start and is a lottery so no guarantee she will get one as covers all other specialities like IT
H1c is only available for 14 hospitals in the US and most at the moment are not using them, also due to expire in 2010 with no indication that the visas will be renewed.
I would say it is going to be hard for your wife to work in the US at the moment
Hey,
"H1c is only available for 14 hospitals in the US and most at the moment are not using them, also due to expire in 2010 with no indication that the visas will be renewed"
Can I know the reason, why most athe moment are not using H1C. ?

Probably because they are finding the staff they need locally so do not need to bring staff in on the visa. Just because a hospital has H1c status doesn't mean they have to use the visa
Thanks for the quick reply.
So If we take a chance and apply for H1B, will it work out.
I found an article of h1b for nurses

Please read the response that I just made to your other post that you placed in that other thread with the same topic.
Does your wife in fact have a BSN or at least four years of nurse training? Without that, then there is no way to even qualify for any of the temporary visas.
And not sure how long that you have been in the US, but if you have been here for two years and she has not worked, then it is going to be extremely difficult for her to get hired at this time. It is even hard for Americans that have been away from nursing for this length of time to get hired.
There are very few facilities that are even using the H1-B due to the amount of paperwork that goes along with it. Chances of you finding a facility in your locale that even will sponsor with it is going to be slim.
The H1-C visas are set to expire in 2010 and we do not expect them to be renewed. As Anna mentioned, there are only 14 out of the US that can petition under this category, but there are only 500 at any one time and not all that are on the list are even hiring. The majority of them are not at this time.
Before your wife does anything with the CES that is going to be needed, I would find out what exactly is available where you are and what will be available for her, if anything. Things have gotten quite tight in the US in the past month or so and are going to be getting tighter. A facility is going to need to provide proof that they are were unable to hire an American for the job and that is going to be hard for them to do.
If I remember correctly from some of our discussions in the past, you were from India. I would recommend that you actually have a look at the US State Dept Bulletin that comes out every month. You will see that India is actually retrogressed back beyond what all of the other states are other than China. One is now looking at more than six to seven years for a chance at a green card.
Again, do not spend any money on your wife going thru the licensing process for Georgia until you know what the job situation is where you are going to be.
Things just are not good right now. Not sure why your wife did not get thru all of thise when you started here; she could have been under the AOS and not have any issues now. But things are not like they were two years ago and we never expect them to be the same again. At least not for a very long time.
