RN in Georgia

Hello everyone, I'm a RN in Belize, Central America. I'm planning to work in Georgia as a RN. What do I need to do to apply for a job in Georgia? I'm looking for a post in Emory as well. What are the procedures that I need to go through? How can I contact the personnel in Emory? Plz give me directions here! Thank you!

Hi Chill1965, glad to see your reply here! ;)

Well, can you tell me about TX please? I want to have some ideas about working in the US. Thanks! :loveya:

For Belize, private hospitals pay more than public hospitals. However, public hospital has increments, and private doesn't. Of course, you cant compare the pay with US. Job vacancy... um... I would say yes. Of course, they would prefer experienced nurses. Now, to work in Belize, you would need to take an exam. However, exceptions may occur. Hope these help! Hear from you soon!

texas I don't like at all,but its doable.no state taxes, cheap housing prices, decent weather, not like the virgin islands where i departed from, and going back to.The nursing here is good, but the pay sucks.the better weather is in houston, brownville, but I have no ideal what the job market is like.the places to work here is Parkland ,JPS,and Baylor Hospitals.Call payton o grady and try to get a travel assigment to come here or go to GA.

Hi chill1965, is this the correct way to pm you? If not, let me know how. Thanks!

HI, are you still looking for a job in GA? Me I am the opposite I work in GA and thought about moving to Belize to work as a nurse (I know I wouldnt get much but just need to make enough to live off of). I went to Emory University, and their hospital is good, especially the one in Midtown. Let me know if Belize ever lets US nurses work for them, it seems they get health care professionals in other countries from everywhere except the US...I would really be interseted in working in C.A. anywhere, but since my Spanish isnt fluent, I love the Belize idea and I have visited there before and love it...Thanks!
