I was going to ask the same thing! Maybe Registered Medical Assistant?
Yes it is a Registered Medical Assistant.
Since you hold a certification, not a license, I don't think you would have a problem going to another state. I would check with your school or another MA.

I am a nurse in Illinois and when I worked in a physicians office once, we had a RMA that was from Missouri. She had a certification that didn't have to be renewed but could work anywhere. She actually worked and did everything the LPN's did in our office. I don't think they have RMA certification in Illinois but they can work here.

An RMA certification in my state is not a state certification. It's a certification from a privately-owned organization. I think they call themselves the American Assocation of Medical Personnel.
