Returning to work after C. Diff

Hi fellow nurses,

I am a nurse who was unfortunate to have surgery, be on antibiotics, and contract Clostridium difficile. I was wondering how long I need to wait before returning to work. I have heard 48 hours after being on antibiotics and no longer experiencing diarrhea. Does this sound right?

What does your doctor say?

I know in my hospital you have to have three formed bowel movements to be taken off isolation precautions after the lab has given the OK.
