If it is like most schools here in the US, yes, you would have to start over. But the only way to find out is to inquire with the school that you now want to attend. Good luck.

More than likely, yes. I'm going through the same thing. My credits are anywhere from 18 to 20 years old. I'm being required to re-take Anatomy, Physiology, Microbiology (even though Micro was my major), Psychology, Pharmacology & Human Growth/Development. Even though I had A's in those classes. Surprisingly, they're not making me re-take math since they only require Intermediate Algebra and my previous math was Calculus.
Check with your school's advisor and see if they'll give an academic waiver. If not, you're definitely going to have to re-take classes. I was so disappointed to find out I had to re-take courses at first. But now I look at it this way: it's a good refresher of something I learned years ago and it should be easier since I'm already familiar with the material.
Best of luck on returning to school
