Hi. Heres a question that kips on bothering me. I hope u guys can enlighten me. I am a nurse here in the Philippines and I have a tourist visa. I am planning to take my NCLEX in the US. My question is, will i be affected with the retrogression law? If so, when will it be lifted? Whats my best option and whats the best thing to do? I heard that its easier to work things out if you have a Visa, How true?

Yes you will be affected with retrogression and if your plan is to stay in the US and wait it will be a long one as currently no way to change your status and do not think that window will open for a few years. I doubt with it being election year next year that things will move quickly. The best thing you can do is gain nursing experience if you don't already have it, look at another country whilst waiting or stay in th Philippines. It is not easier to work things out with a tourist visa
I suggest a good read on this forum as much has been written

you will be affected nothing will be process except for I140 though at this point processing for I140 is also in lag. and even if the retrogression will be lifted there thousands who are in line since 2002 who are waiting for the slot(case in the visa center already) so wait for years before you can take your part.
