Retaking a Block

Hi everyone,

Has anyone had to retake a block? I didn`t do well on my final in Block 3, I`m in the MCCNP at Gateway. Struggled with the Peds portion in this block and now I have to meet with my intructor and reapply. Has anyone gone through this before? Have any suggestions? I`m hoping to get back in for Spring and know I will do better the second time around. Just scared that I will have to wait a long time to get back in and not sure how process works on replacement or maybe they wont place me. What hurts is I was so close! 3 points below the 76 percent cutoff! Can`t blame anyone but myself. I want to be a nurse so bad, don`t want to be discouraged! Thanks all!

Sorry about the points thats a tough break. I do know there were alot of applicants for Block 3 Advanced Placement this term... but Gateway is generally a great school when it comes to wanting their students to succeed. We had a few Block 2 3peats in our group this term and they did not have a wait. So heads up and good luck!

Thank you! I will keep posted on what happens and stay positive! I love my school, and in block 2 we had a few repeaters, so hopefully I will get back into block 3 and be successful!
