retake NCLEX

Nursing Students NCLEX

The information that I got from Pearson says that you cannot retake NCLEX for 91 days; however, I read in here where people have retaken it after 45 days. My wife and I are having a baby in about 60 days; I would really like to have retaken the test by then. Does anyone know who can take it after 45 days and/or how I can get more information?

Hi there...I am retaking the test next week....45 days later...Pearson is giving you the wrong infor...they change it the beginning of the year...hope it helps...

NCLEX registration package we received states that the length of time to retest is determined by individual state licensing boards. We were told it was 91 days here in Florida, but many states allow retakes at 45.

it differs by state...like in ny you can retake it every 45 days...in cali every 3 months.

do as MANY computer programs as possible. I had 2 kaplens...which helped me rephrase the questions....and I had the davis one which really helped me in my weak areas.......I was able to do ONLY tests that I scored low on with the NCLEX if I wished, otherwise I could have a personlized test in all of my weak areas.....it got me through.....2nd test with 81 questions.....I focused primarily on prioritizing, memorized popular lab values... and such....good luck....third times a charm.......well, with me it was at least in the marriage aspect......hehe,.....with you DEFINATLY in boards:)

is there a limit to how many times a person can take the nclex? or can they take it again and again till that person passes?

It depends on your state, I would directly call your BNE for the latest up to date information. The State of Texas BNE stated that it would be 50 days from the date I took my exam that I could reschedule. They stated it would take 5 days to process, etc. I also made sure I turned in my application and monies in ASAP to both the BNE and Pearson so there would be no further delays! Good Luck and Congratulations on the baby
