do i have to retake the hesi a2?

Nursing Students HESI

Published

today i got an email from my college, the email stated that i got approved in the nursing program and i should start my hesi a2 exam. i already took my hesi a2 on aug 2015 and passed with 75 and above which is considered passing. Do i have to redo the hesi a2 since it was a year old? i would die if i actually have to waste my time to study all over again and pay 100$. i was suppose to be in the the nursing program last year but i removed myself because of personal problems. i am a A student, ugh i thinking about this exam gives me nightmares :(

I just happen to know the nursing program that you're talking about and what their specific requirements are! Actually, I don't ...how would any one of us know that?

Have you considered asking a representative for the program?

i will obviously call them tomorrow, i am just asking if anyone had the same experience as me.

Like Sour Lemon said, we can't give a definite answer since we don't know which school and program you're applying to, but I can offer some insight from what I know about the programs in my area.

In every program I have looked into, the school will not accept a score that is from a year or longer ago. Find out about your program's requirements for sure, and then schedule another exam if needed. Maybe you can score even higher and show that you're an even more desirable applicant!

If you're an A student the HESI should be a piece of cake. I found the HESI a lot easier than the TEAS. I would choose to take the HESI over TEAS any day.
