resume cover

i'm a brand new certified adult np and is starting to scout np work but doesn't know how to make a resume cover..the resume that i have done is a generic one and i was told to create a cover ..pls direct me where to go for the task..thanks

I might be the only one who did this, but I tailor my resume to the position I'm applying for. For instance, I applied for a palliative care APN position and I highlighted the fact that my master's thesis was on family presence in the ER during resuscitation and invasive line placement. When I applied for my current position in nephrology, I highlighted my assessment skills and my ability to react calmly in an emergency.

I really didn't use any sources. However, there will be others that might provide more helpful info.
