Hey all,
I was wondering if it is better to send out resumes or fill out applications? Which one got you the job? I have sent out my resume to about 3 SNFs and no call back. I have also made follow up calls. Also did any of you apply to facilities that did not post they were hiring?
All advice is appriciated.

I actually asked this in another forum and the general response was to go in and turn in an application but turn it in along with a resume if you are in a tight job market. I understand your frustration. I have turned in 27 applications and had two interviews. I call before going in and I'm always told they aren't hiring.

You can get away with dropping off resumes at job fairs and when talking to hiring managers or other contacts. Outside of that I do not know why you would not submit an application. I always fill out an applicaiton if requested to do either online or walking into a front door (HR). Right now I am seeking a PT gig to supplement my income (I pay cash for my BSN) so I am taking my own advice. GL!
