Resume advice Needed!

Published

Hi, I am a newly licensed RN and needed advice on my Resume. This is definitely a rough 2 page draft and open to all constructive comments. Also I'm unsure if its better to leave the clinical experience and volunteer work or take it out? Unfortunately, my school didn't exactly help us with resumes. Thanks :)

Kind of quick and dirty. I assume most of what you have in your certification section are really course work, so moved them down below you BSN degree program. If they belong to other programs, or if they really are certificates, move them to the approprate places. I'm also assuming the course work is unique to the program and nowhere else.

Also assumed you took your boards and now waiting for your RN licence.

Since we can't tab, I used "ꞈ" to show column alignment and right-justify dates.

Be sure to tailor your personal branding statement, Professional Profile section and Skill highlights section to show value you're providing to the company if hired.

Your objective could include that you are seeking an RN position that builds on your previous skills & experience as an LPN.

Reorder your employment listing. At first it looks like you are job hopping, when in fact you are currently working two jobs. Make sure they are first.

For your clinical experience, don't list psych, med/surg, etc. tell us what you actually did there

Thank you both very much! Definitely needed some kind of direction! Will work on it :)
