Hi there,
What I'm trying to do is get in touch with someone that is involved with restraint instructing in a US state psych hospital.
Also If anyone could provide feedback as to nurses in the states restrain or is that up to the security officers the hospital employ, I realize this will vary from state to state.
Regards

I think it depends on the individual facility's policy. For example at my hospital we can physically restrain them within certain guidelines and administer IMs but we don't use any mechanical restraints ever. This article has information on resources that you could look into and maybe repost with a request for information if any of us have used the different programs. Good luck.
