why no responses to my post

i'm concerned why no one answered my post. even if your response is neg i would like to hear it. i have been accepted into an lpn program beginning in jan. and want to know if others feel i'd be wasting my time. quite a few people read my post but noone replied. Why?

Some post are read, but unless someone feels they have something to contribute to the thread, they don't comment. Please do not feel neglected by those here at allnurses. We are a great support to one another, and hope with the replies you received thus far you are feeling better about things. :)

It is never a waste of time to pursue education of any kind. It most certainly is not a waste of time to attend a LPN program and become a LPN. I've worked with some fantastic LPNs in my time, and even have a daughter who is a LPN.

There are jobs a plenty for LPNs. If you choose to become a LPN, do so because you have a compassion for mankind and wish to be of service to the sick and dying in the world. Nursing is a special career field. Not everyone can handle being a nurse. If you feel you can handle it by all means...go for it, and I wish you well. :nurse:
