Respected nursing programs

Hello, community! I am in the process of looking into nursing programs that I as an adult student can do. In this search, I am also looking for rankings of the school and its nursing program. After all of this is said and done, I want to make sure that the school I learned from is well-respected in the medical community. Does anyone know of a trustworthy site where this information can be found or does anyone have any tips that would apply here? Thank you in advance.

    My tip? Forget about "lists" and "well respected". Nursing schools aren't going to be nationally known, so what matters is the local reputation of the school. Chances are, you aren't going to find a list for that. You can speak with nurses you know, look on the BON website to see what schools are approved or if there are any on probation, look at job postings in your area to see what is required (BSN vs ADN), things like that. I'll bet you $100 that if I move 3 hours outside of where I graduated, no one will have heard of my nursing school. But what matters is that the first places I applied to did know of my school and had an opinion about the quality of graduates (all of my graduating class had offers several months before graduation, although this was before the current glut of new grads).

    Also, are you aware this is in the 'Online Nursing Schools' forum? There are NO 100% online pre-licensure nursing schools.

    Thank you and yes, I am very aware. I am certainly not looking for a 100% online program. There are many programs where there is available online course work with exams and clinical rounds at the hospital.

    Also, I asked about this because to a degree, it DOES matter what school. My brother knew of someone who did a nursing program and then couldn't get a job because the program was not respected.
