Worked for a LTC facility DON would harass me stating that one more mistake i would be fired . She would even say if we are not happy to work in the LTC facility the door is open. Gave my resignation on a short notice and didn't accept it and stated i have to work for 2 more weeks and if not she would report me to the labor and licensing. I got scared and just signed that i would worked but i just did no call no show because i didnt want to work there anymore . I was also thinking she might screw me up if i worked 2 more weeks. Im scared because a lot of people said that she would report me to the board of LVN . Any comments

Unless you walked out on a shift in progress, without turning over care to another nurse, you have no issues with the BON. If you walked out without turning over care, then that would be abandonment. It sounds like you DON is a bully, and your better off to be away, the quicker the better. The only critique I would have is agreeing to work a notice, and not following through, its better to nev commit than to commit and back out.

There is no legal requirement you give a certain amount of notice to resign unless you are under a contract that stipulates that.

This is correct. Unless you are under contract, you can finish your shift, go home, and call and say you won't be back. The 2 weeks is so you leave on good terms, and gives the facility time to hire someone to replace your shifts.
