Research Nurses UCLA

Any nurses work or have done research projects there?

Tasha,

I'm not currently working at UCLA but am interested in research nursing. I imagine UCLA would be an amazing place to do this. Do you have experience in the field?

Thank you for replying. I don't have research experience but my willingness to learn and curiosity possibly lead me to this oppt. The commute to UCLA will be a hour and thirty minute drive to so I'm debating about that. Overall, I'm trying to convince myself that this oppt will enhance my education and also look great on my resume.

Hi Tasha

I also do not work at UCLA either, however, I'm currently working on my PhD dissertation. I think delving into research is extremely interesting and can often help to strengthen one's cognitive functions!. I've been fortunate to have the opportunity to not only do clinical work, but also participate in some research in my workplace as well. I think if you are truly interested in stepping into this arena, it would certainly open a whole host of other opportunities for you that you may not have thought of before. It is actually exciting not just working with patients in an actual research study, but also data gathering, and learning the study outcome, often which is unexpected from the hypothesis. Best wishes!
