Request for Exception - Texas BON

Has anyone here ever filed a request for exception to a Board Order? If so, how long did the process take? I just submitted mine a week ago and was told it would take a month or so for it to get reviewed, then it might get scheduled with the Eligibility and Disciplinary Committee at their next available meeting. My Order will be finished in December; just wondering if I might get an answer before then!

Basically, by the time they finally granted my exception , I had only three months left on monitoring stipulations.....some times they move slow

best wishes ;)

So, it took them about 3 months to decide? I figured it would be a long process. Were you able to get all of your stipulations removed?

No it took them almost nine months to modify one stipulation......the ability to administer controlled substances, most other stops had just devolved, to another RN in building, quarterlyrpts, 12step documentation, and random uds.......by the time they granted tat one modification, I only had three months left of stipulated monitoring.

Well, I guess I will just expect the worst and hope for the best! Worst case scenario, I have less than 6 months to go on a 12 month Order.

Best wishes, I promise "there is life back after stipulations" are over

Well, I emailed the BON today asking for an update on my request (it's been 4 weeks since I submitted) and was told that it could be "several months" before it is reviewed. :(

My request was denied :( Thankfully this will all be over with in just 3 months.
