Reply to a previous thread re: ER work

I can't remember the name of the article, but a nurse was asking about working in the ER, yet she had taken a job in Psych.

To this nurse, I'd say that she should imagine herself as the ER hiring Manager. She would then have her answer.

I think she should use her time in Psych to acquire good interpersonal skills. She should get her ACLS and perhaps some ER advanced credentials. And don't do Psych for more than a year. Be applying for ER after the first 8 months or so.
