Haven't moved yet. Am in the same boat...need a job first. Am looking over the internet, but so far no luck!

What website have you looked at for jobs?

I'm also considering to relocate.. I'm from CA

Hello, My husband and I are thinking or relocating to NM. I am looking at Carlsbad, or Las Cruces areas. Can anyone advise on LTC opportunities in wither place, or ANYWHERE in NM or AZ? Thank you

I am originally from Carlsbad, and I lived for a short time in Cruces. I can tell you that Carlsbad is NOT the best place to live. It use to be an awesome little town, but it is run over with drug problems along with other issues (such as a recent spike in violent crime). I would not recommend working for their hospital as they have a pretty low standard. People have came and went trying to turn it around, but it never does. There are two nursing homes there: Landsun and Lakeview. I did clinicals at both, and I prefer Landsun, but there is nothing wrong with Lakeview.

Las Cruces has two hospitals: Memorial and Mountain View. I don't have much information on them other than Mountain View is owned by the same corporation as Carlsbad's hospital.

I am currently looking to move back to NM (born and raised!), but I'm heading towards Albuquerque.

Good luck on your move!!!!
