Relocating to find work?

So i'm about to start an LVN program in OC, California. I have heard all about the difficulty finding a job as an LVN in California (with no experience.) My question is, if i'm willing to relocate, will that make the job hunt easier? I've seen many posts about people looking in California with no luck, but no one really mentions the option of relocating. I would be willing to relocate to any other part of California, or even out of state if the jobs are there. What are your thoughts? Is the job situation just as worse in other states? I'm pretty nervous about this.. Also, newb question, but if I did relocate, say to Texas, or Arizona, and worked there for a year as an LVN, would I then be able to move back to Cali and use that year of experience here? Or does it have to be a year experience in the state you're applying?

    In my opinion, it will definitely make your job hunt easier if you relocate out of state. However, you are going to have to carefully select where you relocate to, because the nursing job markets in other parts of the U.S. are challenging, too.

    Your chances of finding a job will increase if you (1) move to an area where very few people want to live, (2) move to a city or town that has no nursing schools within a 100 mile radius, (3) select an area with a decent military presence (this means lots of young families and older veterans who will need care), and (4) stay away from the coasts.

    Experience is experience by any other name, and the city or state in which you obtain that experience really doesn't matter.

    It will probably help some RNs in the area when it comes to finding employment. MLK Hospital may or may not hire LVNs when it reopens, but I seriously doubt it due to the limited LVN scope of practice in California.

    True for in the hospital but there some clinic spots that will be available and they love to use LVNs over MAs just like UCLA hospital so that'll come in handy plus there Dialysis clinic will be up and running again and thats mostly VNs so any little help is good.

    That the starting salary for LVN'S with "less than 12 months experience"

    Does that mean that you can get into a correctional job with no experience? It does not state any minimum experience level. Either preferred or required.

    When people post on here about everywhere requiring atleast a year experience, I have yet to hear someone mention a correctional job. Usually clinics, hospitals, LTC, etc.

    Please help me figure this out. I haven't even started my program yet and I'm already worried about having a job!

    I've been looking into LVN programs, I have a information session tomorrow and classes start the 26th of Sept. I was wondering if you ever found any info on the correctional jobs the link you posted doesn't open. And how is school going for you? Any advice you can offer me?
