Relocating to DC

Where is a good place to live? We are looking at apartments in Silver Spring, MD and Alexandria, VA. Some complexes look nice on the internet, but are terrible! Any good suggestions for apartments?

hi we moved also to dc area last year and we lived in gaithersburg which was really nice but expensive. i dont know where you are coming from but get ready for sticker shock. we lived at The Verandahs they are owned by alliance residental look them up they were good. do not live in silver spring..it is the ghetto there northern va i don't know much about. good luck...go to apartmentguide.com

I used to live in Winchester, Va and my husband used to commute to DC from there. It may be more than you're willing to travel, but the northern VA areas were all really nice....keep in mind, this was 8 years ago.

Good luck on your search!
