Can endocarditis be considered a complication of a myocardial infarction. I am thinking that since a MI can be a cause of acquired heart valve disease and acquired heart valve disease increases the risk for endocarditis it could be considered a complication. However it is not a direct complication so I'm not sure if it should be included.
Any insights anyone?

What happens with an acute MI? What happens to the myocardial tissue? What is the pathophysiology of an acute MI? Are you taking endocarditis? what is endocarditis? Isn't endocarditis an infectious process? Included in what? a care plan/case study?
OR....Are you thinking of myocarditis/pericardial effusion?
