Regular temps...

why am i getting so screwed up with temps??

normal oral (mouth) temps are 96.2-100.4 right?

so what are normal temps for rectal, axillary and tympanic? i know they are not the same...you have to add 0.9 or subtract 0.9 to one or the other..ahh! it is written so confusing in my book. can someone just simplify it for me?

oh 1 more: conduction and convection. tell me if my examples are right:

conduction (transfer by direct contact) - ice packs, body heat, tempid baths

convection (currents of air or water) - fan

if i am right, i am getting confused on why tempid baths fall under conduction..why isn't it convection? the definition is currents of air or water? what would be an example of water for convection?

thanks!!

Normal vital sign parameters are posted of this thread: https://allnurses.com/forums/f205/normal-vital-signs-280875.html

water for convection: melting milk chocolate by using a double boiler (a pan placed into another pan of boiling water--chocolate cannot touch hot water). Custard is also cooked this way.
