Reference Book for School Nursing??

This is my first year as a school nurse. I am at an elementary school (k-5) with approx 450 students. I had a brief training (2 days) and we have very few, vague protocols. I saw a book entitled "Clinical Guidelines for School Nurses" advertised on schoolnurse.com, but wasn't sure if it was worth the $100. Does anyone have any general school nursing reference books that they would recommend?

Previously I worked at a pediatric office for a few years and then an allergy/asthma office for a year before starting at the school, but I would still like some sort of general reference book to have on hand. Any suggestions would be appreciated : )

Start out with what your school district policy is regarding fever, vomiting, diarrhea, medications at school, food allergies, head lice, pinkeye, etc., etc...and work out from there. You don't need to be taught assessment skills; just when to send someone home and such. Most likely everything you'd want to know would be available free on line or from other nurses. I inherited a bunch of that stuff from the previous nurse and never looked at it - of course it was written on stone tablets ;)
