Recommendation letters

Ok, I'm about to put in my supplemental application and it requires 2 recommendation letters adn a personal statement. I have a chief lab tech that just retired and also a clinical psychologist that will do the letters but what should they put in it other than I'm not a fruit loop and have a need to care for people?? They ask and the instructions do NOT specify WHO should be sought out to do the letters nor what needs to be mentioned. Any suggestions?? Thanks in advance.

I would think letters from people in health care would be better than a friend so that they can explain why you could be a good candidate.

Here is a good link with a template to follow: Reference Letter Template.

My professors who wrote recommendations for me included any leadership skills I had in class, personality traits that would make me a good nurse, and my work eithic in their course. HTH
