Recently relocated LPN

I recently located to the Columbus, Ohio area 2 weeks ago and can't find a job. I applied at one place and they told me that since my nursing home experience wasn't in the last 2 years they couldn't hire me! I have a total of 3 yrs NH and 3 yrs as a school nurse. PLEASE if anyone knows of a decent place to apply let me know! I have went to every hospital in my area and they don't use LPN'S.

I am sorry to hear about your situation. LPN positions are being done away with in my area as well. I did a search at a medical staffing company in columbus and found this.

Contact them they have these per diem jobs available, and many others..

Good luck

How far up into Columbus do you live (North, South, ect). I am from Chillicothe which is South of Columbus. I can not imagine having a hard time getting a job up there. They had a whole page of listings in our local Sunday paper for up there. They must be crazy. I always here how everywhere is short up there. I do not know if you would be interested in working down here. You can send me a PM if you would be. I work in a LTC facility. We utilize LPNs all the time. Good luck!!
