Receiving License

Hello all! I found out this morning that I passed the NCLEX-RN. The emails state that we will receive our License approx. 6 weeks after we take the NCLEX. Does anybody know if this is really how long it takes? I'm pretty sure that my LPN license renewals haven't taken very long to arrive. I really want to get the license to my employer and get my payroll adjusted, I just can't imagine it will take 6 weeks. I also can't understand why they won't just look at the BON and use that to confirm my license.

Thanks so much!

Most states send a paper license as a formality. Check your BoN as in many states require online license verification as it can be updated real time

New Mexico & Texas do not send paper license and have not in many years. Anyone can verify license online and that is the only verification that can be done, online only.

I sent a screen shot of the BON results to the HR director that show that I'm an RN and I was told that once they "get a copy of your license" they will adjust my payroll. I even told him where to check for license verification. I wonder if it is just a way to avoid increasing my pay.
