I accepted a new grad float pool position and two weeks in I am EXTREMELY overwhelmed and just have a bad feeling. Our manager accepted another position and our educator took a leave. I'm getting the sense that I will be thrown in as the training is not what was advertised in the position and the support seems to be lacking at this point. Is it wrong to go on other job interviews or am I not giving this position a fair shot (life happens people do move on from positions)? Two other facilities happen to have job fairs in the next two weeks that I am available for. I'll be sure to not accept another float position as I'm realizing not having a home base is not a great place for a new grad. As stressful as it has been I really do love nursing. I just think with floating the learning curve is a bit too steep and anxiety inducing for me to be successful in my first year.
