Quiting my current job?

Hello everyone,

I am considering quitting my current job because the covid19 pandemic has been affecting my hospital. It looks like going forward the nurses at my hospital will be put on call more often due to low cenus. I work at a very small rural hospital and I had originally intended to quit in October and move to a city but I am considering doing it sooner due to the lack of hours. I have 1 year experience as a nurse in June and 1 year of hospital experience in October.

If it were me I would secure a new job and have my plans for moving in place before resigning, partly because it may take longer to get that new job with hiring freezes etc. in place.

Thank you for your response. I think I am going to start looking the city I was going to move to is el paso and from what I have seen on the job boards the hospitals there seem to be hiring still. I am definitely going to keep working my current job until I find new one and place to live.
