quick silly question

Published

I finished lvn school in november '05. i took my nclex in late may '06...the worst came true and i did not pass. so now i must wait again for all that paperwork to be processed. i really want to still work in the medical field while i study for my next nclex test.

what positions can i hold at a medical setting with only graduating from lvn school? can i be a cna for the meanwhile?

thanks in advance

sorry to hear about your exam....please have faith it will happen i graduated in aug. 05, and was just granted to test in may 06, i take my exam on july 25th...i'm soooo scared. i have a lot of anxiety because i don't know what questions i'll be facing i don't even know if i've studied enough. i've been using saunders comp pn review, kaplan rn,i don't know....but i know other people that have not been successful the 1st time, and have used suzanne4 study plan...i hav a friend on this site that just took her exam for the 2nd time on june 10th, and passed after using this plan...but she said the questions are weird...please have faith

Ferioej6,

Sorry to hear about your first round with the NCLEX. I'm glad you're keeping your head up and trying to stay involved in the medical field while working toward your goal of ultimately passing that exam.

I would check with local doctor's offices and hospitals. Almost all healthcare facilities hire people (even in direct patient care positions) who may not necessarily be certified or licensed. In clinics, for example, many of the medical assistants are not certified. Some hospital ER's will also hire techs without any particular certification. The education that you've received would certainly make you a good candidate for one of those positions.

Good luck!

thanks guys. i got a boost of confidence haha thanks again for your comments.
