Quick results after testing on a Saturday

Published

I've tried searching for the answer to my question but I haven't found a consistent answer. I will be taking my NCLEX-RN on a Saturday morning. Would quick results be available on Monday morning or would I possibly have to wait until Wednesday? According to the NCSBN FAQ's you have to wait 48 "business hours" but that's 6 days (provided that the BON people work 8 hour days). Thanks in advance for your reply.

Business hours is not literal. It does not mean wait a full 48 working hours based on how many hours the office is open. 48 hours = 2 days which would be 2 business days. It most likely will not be Monday as your BON won't even review anything until starting Monday morning. It will likely be Wednesday unless they are quicker than promised. GL!

Your quick results posting time have nothing to do with when your state BON is open/closed. Your quick results would be available on Monday. Now, how long it takes your State BON to post/issue a license number is another story.

I've taken both the NCLEX-PN and NCLEX-RN. I tested on a Friday and got my quick results on a Sunday for one and I tested on a Thursday and gotten my quick results on a Saturday.

While they say its 'business' hours. It is actually regular hours. Quick results are up in 48 hours regardless of what day of the week that 48 hrs lands on, nor does it matter if its a holiday. I have friends who's 48 hrs were up on a legal holiday and they still got their results. I've had friends (like me) who's 48 hrs was on a weekend. We all got ours on the 48 hr time.

Now, my state dragged their feet posting my LPN license number (in my opinion). But they were pretty quick in posting my RN. I have friends who got their quick results and hours later they had their license numbers posted on our BON site. I've also had friends who waited close to 2 weeks to see their licenses posted.

It all depends on the BON in how quickly they post your license number.

Thank you both so much!
