Questions about CNA transfer

Hello all,

I currently have an expired cna here in Kansas (i let it expire because i am a full-time student who, after this semester, will have fulfilled all of my pre-reqs for the RN program and i am also a mom to 2 young little boys so i decided to stay at home with them while i could!) and we are planning on moving our family to Fort Worth Texas by the end of the year. My question is if there is anyway to get my cna from Texas online as a refresher or even taking the complete course so that i can hopefully get a job there before we move. We are going to take a trip there within the next few months to try and locate some other things there to help with the transition of the move so if it was the only way, i could possibly take a weekend course in person but i would like to do so online. I know the college i am hoping to attend and get accepted into their nursing program is Tarrant County College and i plan on calling them to ask some of these questions as well.

Thank you in advance for any helpful tips and well as any general information one may have on locations of exceptional k-5 schooling for my kiddos or any childcare! And by the way i love this site! It has helped me quite a bit throughout the years of my college career and so i finally created a profile to get a little more involved.

    If you google "city data" along with the town and state you will find a great website with forums that will be specific to your area. People will be happy to answer your questions about schools etc., it also gives you a huge compilation of data about the area.

    Yes i can, i registered for a refresher course in March at the community college for a "back up plan." Can i just transfer it after reinstating it?

    I have been researching some places like schooling and housing etc. but i will definitely try that, thanks! I was scanning allnurses for a specific blog about the city we were wanting to move to and then my fiance found out that instead of finding a new job out there he could possibly transfer from his present job to a site they have in Corpus Christi so now the search starts over! :wacky:
