Question for other Texas nurses

I received my license in June of 2005 and am due to renew it in December of this year. How many contact hours will I need to renew it for next time? I'm already receiving offers in the mail for continuing education materials.

Thanks for any assistance provided.

20 - at least 10 of which must be type 'A'. And a few of them (2?) I think must be an approved course in bioterrorism.

Go to RN.com or any of several such sites and pay the 30 buck fee for unlimited CEUs and you can have them done inside a few weeks of effort.

Just make sure that whichever service you use has a bioterror course that meets the Texas requirement.

(I use RN.com because they not only have this one, but the Hep C requirement from the last renewal cycle and so I'm sure they'll have the next specific CEUs from the NEXT cycle, whatever those may be.)

Go to the TX BNE website for definitive answers.

Timothy.
