What do you mean it needs to be changed?

i am assuming you did the prject and you want to change the subject to something else right?

it appears that your faculty want to see if you know how to search the perioperative literature for evidence-based practice. do that, and i'll bet you'll find lots of choices. don't quit after you find just one article, though. be persistent, be curious.

this, like many other assignments you'll be getting in nursing school, is not only about the directly-referenced topic. in this case, sure, they want you to look for periop nursing actions that could be changed. more importantly, it's about learning about how to look for and read research, in preparation for a career which will be based on evidence-based practice and may even include participating in or doing research someday. keep this in mind whenever you get an independent assignment: what else are they asking me to learn by this experience?

for example, we get a lot of requests from students to participate in an interview via email to ask about some aspect of nursing practice, how we got to where we are, whatever. part of your faculty's reason for giving you this assignment is to get you to go out there, look for and find, and speak to an rn face to face. a big email blast is not a substitute for shoe leather. an is not google.

see, in nursing, you have to learn to speak to a lot of people you would not otherwise encounter; you might find yourself out of your comfort zone. this is part of nursing, a huge part, and that's why your faculty will assign it.
