hey have any of you heard of turnitin.com? if so, what is it and how does it work?

My school is just starting to use turnitin.com It's a website that checks student's work for plagiarism. I'm told by professors that it works quite well and can even tell when you've repharased/paraphorificed something and not given proper credit to the origin of the material. Hope this helps. :)

Yep, it checks for plagarism(sp??) My husband has used it before in some of his classes. It's the way I think a lot of prof's are begining to look, especially English/literature classes.
